This is a Vintage Victorian Ornate Black Cast Iron Oil Lamp Or Plant Swivel Wall Bracket with Hinge. This wall bracket has a special place for a Mercury Glass Reflector, not included. The bracket swivels on the hinge so you can turn it 180 degrees . It measures 12" out from the wall to the end of the bowl. The bowl measures 5" in diameter and the depth of the bowl is 1 1/2". The bowl unscrews from the bracket. It will be detached to mail. We do not know the exact age of this bracket. The bracket is in excellent condition. We have cleaned it and sprayed it with a rust preventive. You just attach the hinge to the wall with 2 screws which are provided. It would look lovely hanging on the wall with a small hanging plant or candle or oil lamp. If you click on the picture you will see this wall bracket with an oil lamp in it (oil lamp is not included). This is a Victorian Ornate Black Cast Iron Drop in Oil Lamp Or Plant Swivel Wall Bracket with Hinge. The bracket swivels on the hinge so you can turn it 180 degrees. The bowl is attached to the bracket with a screw so it can swivel also. It measures 11" out from the wall to the end of the bowl. The internal bottom dimensions of the bowl measure 4 1/4" in diameter. The interior top dimension of the bowl if 5". We may loosen the screw for the bowl during shipping. We do not know the exact age of this bracket. The bracket is in excellent condition. We have cleaned it and sprayed it with a rust preventive. You just attach the hinge to the wall with 2 screws which are provided. The hinge is not original to this bracket and the holes are a little larger than the pin in the wall bracket. This is a Victorian Ornate Brass Plated Cast Iron Twisted Rope Drop in Oil Lamp Or Plant Swivel Wall Bracket . There is no hinge with is bracket. We believe this to be an original Victorian piece. We have been unable to locate any others like it. We were unable to obtain the appropriate hinge to fit the 1/2" diameter pin. The piece measures 15" out from the wall to the end of the bowl. The internal bottom dimensions of the bowl measure 6" in diameter. There is a small brass fly screw on top of the bowl. We are unsure what it was used for. The bracket is in great condition for its age. We have cleaned it but it could probably use additional cleaning of the brass. It would look lovely hanging on the wall with a hanging plant or oil lamp.

The length of the hook section is 3" long by 2" wide. It is a very strong and sturdy hanger. Though we do not know the exact age of this piece, we believe it to be from the Victorian Era. When it was obtained at an estate, it had old cream paint on it. We repainted it in white rust preventative paint and then antiqued it to bring out its lovely design. It is in excellent condition.
