Welcome to The Victorian Limoges Shop. We sell antique and vintage French Limoges items that come from well to do estates around North Eastern North Carolina. Limoges is a high quality hard paste porcelain from Limoges, France. Limoges, France is in the center part of France, south of Paris. Companies were making Limoges porcelain as far back as the 19th century. Many of our pieces are from the Victorian Era and many are hand painted. Hand painted Limoges porcelain is both beautiful and elegant. It was a status symbol for brides in the early 1900s.

Through the years, there have been 100s of companies producing porcelain in Limoges France. Our items are all marked with either a Limoges, France mark or a company mark. If it does not have a mark, we will not be listing it in this shop but in one of our many other shops. Most of our pieces have additional marks for exporters or the artist's signature or the company who did the hand painting.

Please read each description because we try to identify the company of origin of each piece by the mark. We will also identify a date time frame for when the piece was made by the type of mark or when the company was in business. If you have any questions regarding any piece or the marks, please feel free to contact us. We will also describe the condition of the piece as best we can. $39.95 Antique Victorian 1892-1907 Tressemann and Vogt T&V Souvenir Limoges Hand Painted Plate of Sleeping Victorian Girl with Ornate Pink and Gold Rococco Border - Item #611

This is a darling antique Victorian Tressemann and Vogt, T&V Limoges Hand Painted Plate of a Victorian Girl Sleeping with an ornate gold and pink Rococco Border that is scalloped, embossed and scrolled. The T&V Mark 5 green backstamp is "Souvenir, T&V, France". The backstamp dates this plate to late 1800s to early 1900s. It measures 7" in diameter. The only flaw we saw on the plate is a chip on one of the edges of the rococco border at the bottom. Please click on the pictures to see additional pictures. There is rubbing which is age related. $224.95 1903-1925 Theodore Haviland Limoges Chocolate Pot with Floral Sprays and Hand Painted Raised Gold Scroll Work - Item #521

This is a beautiful and regal 1903-1925 Theodore Haviland Limoges Chocolate Pot featuring Floral Sprays of Narcissus and Cosmos Flowers and Hand Painted Raised Gold Scroll Work. There is beautiful and intricate raised gold scrolling design at the base and at the top which is hand painted. The chocolate pot stands approximately 9 1/4" tall and is 6 3/4" wide from spout to outer edge of handle. Both the pot and the lid are marked with the red over-glaze Theodore Haviland mark, which dates the piece from 1903 to 1925. Please click on the picture to see additional pictures. The pot itself is in excellent condition with a few manufacturer specks in the glaze. The lid has 2 small chips on the underside which may be able to be seen in the second photo. This is a lovely 1900-1914 Elite L Limoges Bawo & Dotter Three Footed Bowl Individual Nut Cup With Clusters of Pink Floral Flowers and Green Foliage with Gold Edging. It is truly a beautiful piece. The bowl stands 2 3/8" tall x 4 1/2" in diameter. It has the Elite L green date stamp dating it to 1900-1914. The Elite L Company was also Bawo & Dotter/Elite. The second stamp is a red Limoges, France with three French Fluer de Lis above it. There is rubbing to the gold around the rim and two very tiny manufacturer flicks inside the bowl. This is a lovely Antique 1905-1910 LaViolette AK & Co. (A. Klingenberg)Limoges Hand Painted Cabinet Plate or Plaque with Ornate Gold Painting and Floral Motif. The plate has an pink floral motif with elaborate gold painting of wheat and gold edging. This could be a cabinet plate, plaque or platter. It measures 9" in diameter. The first mark is red and is for AK & Co. or A. Klingenberg. The green second mark is not readable but we believe it to be the Laviolette green mark from 1896 to 1905, which would be an arrow facing the left. What we believe you can faintly see on the mark is the bottom, which would read "FRANCE". This plate is in excellent condition. We have another LaViolette AK & Co plate listed as Item #523 which is very similar in shape and edging but in pink floral. Both would be great together on the wall.

This is a lovely Antique 1905-1910 LaViolette AK & Co. (A. Klingenberg) Limoges Hand Painted Cabinet Plate or Plaque with Ornate Gold Painting and Floral Motif. The plate has an orange floral motif with elaborate gold painting and gold edging. This could be a cabinet plate, plaque or platter. It measures 9" in diameter. The first mark is the LaViolette green mark from 1896 to 1905. The second mark is red and is for the AK & Co. or A. Klingenberg. It has an arrow facing the left. We believe this plate was exported by AK & Company known as A. Klingenburg. Please click on the picture to see additional pictures. There is just one 1/4" sliver chip on the gold edge which could be touched up with gold leaf. Otherwise the piece is in great condition. Please choose a shipping method with insurance at checkout. This is a lovely G.R. Limoges, French Hand Painted Cabinet Plate or Plaque with Pink Floral Motif and Gold Edging. It measures 9" in diameter. This could be a cabinet plate, plaque or platter. It measures 9" in diameter. It has two marks. The first mark is brown and read G. R. Limoges, Paris, France. The second mark is green and says Limoges in an arch form and the word France underneath. Unfortunately we could not identify either mark so we could not give a year for this plate. Please click on the picture to see additional pictures of this plate. This is a nice Theodore Haviland Limoges Paneled Roses Pitcher. It features pink roses in the front and back of the pitcher along with blue flowers. It measures 5 1/2" tall x 4" from tip of spout to end of handle. It is in excellent condition. Please click on the picture to see a picture of the green back stamp. This is a nice Theodore Haviland Limoges Pink Floral Large Serving Platter. It features pink flowers with a light green leaves. It has gold around the handles. It measures 14" in length x 10" wide x 2 " tall. It has one 3/4" chip near the center rim. It is hard to see because of the white color. The back stamp is a red over glaze back stamp which states "Porcelaine, Theodore Haviland, Limoges, FRANCE". There is a medallion above the word "Porcelaine". There is an embedded mark of a large "T" with a smaller "T" on one side and a"H" on other side with a "12" below it. This is one of a matched set we are selling. This is a pretty Vintage Limoges Galerie de France Floral Trinket Dresser Box. It features different types of flowers in yellow, pink, and blues. It measures 5" in diameter and 1 1/4" tall. It is in excellent condition. The has a green unglazed back stamp that reads "Limoges, France" and a black overglaze reads "Galerie de France". Please choose USPS Parcel or Priority with Insurance. This is a gorgeous antique Coiffe French Limoges Hand Painted Plate with a very Ornate French Rococo Border in Gold. This could be a cabinet plate, plaque or platter. The scene is of a fishing boat pulling in to the harbor at sea with the sea gulls flying around. The colors are light shades of blue and green. The back stamp is the Coiffe Limoges Mark #2 in green of a 7 pointed star with a letter of the word "Limoges" at the inside tip of the star. Below the star is the word "France". $74.95 1894-1931 French Haviland & Co. Limoges Scalloped 9 1/2" Serving Bowl - Item #202

This is one of our favorite tea serving plates/bowls. It is shaped like a large bowl. It has the Haviland France green underglaze back stamp Mark I which dates it to 1894-1931. It has another on top of glaze red back stamp mark which reads Haviland & Co., Limoges, Pour, The E.B. Taylor Co., Haviland of France. This stamp dates it to the same time period. On the front it has pink roses with a band of pink roses on the inside rim and gold and green trim on the rim. It is graced with small flowers on the back side. There are 2 small chips on the underside of the rim, each measuring approximately 1/8". Please click on the picture to see additional pictures of the plate and marks. This is truly a gorgeous Limoges serving piece. Circa: 1894-1931.

$54.95 1905-1910 W. G. & Company, William Guerin Limoges W. A. Pickard Hand Painted Cyclamen Dresser or Pin Tray - Item #518

This is a gorgeous 1905-1910 W. G. & Company, William Guerin Limoges W. A. Pickard Hand Painted Cyclamen Dresser Tray featuring lovely hand painted Cyclamen. It has gold edging. Truly a beautiful piece. It measures 3 3/4" x 5 3/4". It has the W. G. & Co green date stamp dating it to 1891-1932. The W. G. & Co. was the name for the William Guerin Company. The second mark is brown double circle mark. Inside the double circle reads "HANDPAINTED". This is a to W. A. Pickard of Pickard Art Studios mark. The mark would date the piece between 1905 to 1910. The bottom is unglazed. The bottom has slight discoloration due to it being unglazed. There is rubbing to the gold around the rim and in the very center. This is normal for the age and adds to the character of this beautiful tray. There are no chips or cracks in this beautiful tray. Please choose a shipping method with insurance.
