This is an Antique Victorian EAPG Hanging or Bracket Kerosene Oil Lamp Font With Eagle Burner with a Beaded Clear Chimney. The glass font is in a 2 part mold on the sides and a separate mold piece on the top. This is a very old oil lamp and did fluoresce under a black light. The oil lamp with chimney measures 12 1/2" tall. The font base measures 5 7/8" in diameter with the very bottom measuring 4" in diameter. The font is 4" tall including the collar. The oil spout, cap and collar are all solid brass. The oil spout cap shows a flower motif but it not marked. This oil lamp fits into a wall bracket or hanging bracket. The brass collar has some dents along the rim that do not show when the burner is screwed in. The glass font has the normal bubbles indictative of the age. It is in great shape for its age. It comes with a new wick and is ready for oil or kerosene. Please choose a shipping method that includes insurance at checkout. A great and very useable table or wall or hanging oil lamp. This is an Antique Victorian EAPG Hanging or Bracket Kerosene Oil Lamp with a Solid Brass Scovill Mfg. #2 Queen Anne Burner, Solid Brass Oil Cap and Collar and Beaded Clear Chimney. The hanging or bracket oil lamp was used in the Victorian Era with an Iron Wall Bracket or Hanging Bracket. Wall Brackets are available in our Victorian Wall Bracket Shop. The oil cap has a motif on it and states "Made in the United States of America". The #2 Queen Anne Burner dial is embossed with "Scovill Mfg. Co. Made in USA". The burner is embossed with "Queen Anne". It also has a solid brass collar which appears to be original and put on with plaster. The oil lamp can be used alone on a table as a table lamp or on a bracket as a wall oil lamp.
The lamp measures 12 1/2" tall by 6" at it widest point, including the 8 1/2" clear chimney with beaded rim. We did a black light test on this font and the base did fluoresce green under a black light. The base of the oil font measures 4" in diameter and graduates up to 6" in diameter. This oil lamp comes with a new 1" flat wick. This chimney is most likely not original to the lamp. The oil lamp is in excellent condition. All it needs is some oil and it is ready to go. $44.95 Vintage Primitive Eagle Oil Lamp with Eagle, Pat. Pending Tin Reflector and Bracket - Item #473
This is a Vintage Primitive Oil Lamp with an Eagle #2 Burner and an Eagle Hanging Tin Reflector and Bracket. The tin reflector is embossed with the following: "EAGLE, PAT. PENDING, MADE IN U.S.A.". The Eagle #2 Burner is embossed with the word "EAGLE". The tin reflector and bracket measure 9 3/4" tall by 6 1/2" x 7" wide. With the chimney on, it measures 13 3/4" tall. The glass oil font sits firmly into the bracket. It has a glass collar with metal threads built in which would date the font 1910 or later. The glass oil font has a built in brass collar and is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The Eagle tin reflector and bracket did have some rust on them. We used a rust remover to remove most of the rust and then followed up with a light coat of a rust preventative black paint to protect it from further rust. The burner also had rust on it and we removed most of the rust and put a light protective sealer on it. When purchasing, you may request a new brass plated burner in place of the old Eagle burner at no additional cost, if you wish. You would need to email us at the time of purchase. We have put a new 3/4" flat wick in it. It is ready to go. Please choose a shipping method that includes insurance. It would make a great display in a porch, laundry room, primitive kitchen, cabin, garage or other out buildings. A great primitive piece. Circa: 1910+.
