$1994.95  Vintage Large Solid Oak Arts & Crafts Armoire Wardrobe Closet With Beveled Oval Mirror - Item #485

This is a beautiful Solid Oak Arts and Crafts Armoire Wardrobe Closet with a Large Beveled Oval Mirror.  It was made in the early 1900s, around 1905.  It measurements  61 ¾” length x 75 ¾” height x 21” tall.  It has 2 drawers on the bottom section with brass pull out hardware. It contains brass pull out hanging racks on either side of the middle section, as well several two hook armoire clothes hooks on the inner ceiling of the armoire. The armoire comes apart in 3 sections, the drawers separate from the center section and the top separates from the center section.

It has been refinished.  It is unfinished on the inside. It can be used as an entertainment armoire to house a large LCD TV.  There is a free standing shelving unit in the middle and right sections that can be easily removed. We will remove the shelving unit from the armoire upon the buyer's request.   Originally, the mirror section was stationary, but it now swings open.  It  can be made stationary again with screws upon request. There is a small hole in the bottom back of armoire which was used to run the electrical wiring through. The beveled mirror has age appropriate hazing and spotting.  There was a repair made to the oak at the bottom right of the mirror.  There is one small cut out hole in the inside middle top section that allows the middle section to swing open. This hole does not show from the outside.  The armoire can be multi-functioning.   The items on top of the armoire are not part of the sale for this armoire. This is a beautiful Antique Victorian Solid Oak 6'+ Deacons Bench.  We love this bench with its curved back.  It is very old and has many a history to it.  We even found old chewing gum under the seat.  It measurements 76 1/2" in length x 30 1/2" in height x 24" in depth.  It has curved back slats with each slat appearing to be hand planed. The arms are curved.  It was found with the back off so it has been rejoined with new dowels in places and the slats have been glued into the back curved piece.  It has been refinished and is rich, dark, and golden in appearance.  There is the usual wear from age in the wood which lends it character.  On one end of stretcher where it meets the bench, the joint is loose.  On the curved back piece where it has been rejoined, it was unable to be joined all the way, but it is very sturdy and strong.  It can be filled in with wood filler if one desired.  Left as it, it lends character.  It must have taken a long time to have originally made this massive piece.  Please click on the pictures to see additional pictures of the piece.  It is a very heavy and substantial piece.  It really makes a statement. This is a gorgeous Victorian Solid Mahogany Needlepoint/Petit Point Balloon Back Chair with Cabriole Legs. The  needlepoints are a floral petit point in the center surrounded by a floral needlepoint.  The gorgeous needlepoints are in a floral on the front back and seat area. The background color is burgundy with the floral areas being gold, cream and pinks. There is a solid lighter colored burgundy needlepoint on the back. The original finish is in great condition. This is a very beautiful Large Early 1900s Carved Rose Mahogany Sofa with Rolled Arms and Newer Teapot Upholstery.  We don't know when this piece was reupholstered, but it appears to be fairly new. You may click on the picture to see a closeup of the teapots. The measurements are 86” length x 35” width x 35” height.  The seat cushion has a zipper for easy laundering. The seat cushion inner is out of a very dense material but we are not sure what it is since the cushion was professionally lined before being reupholstered.  It has the original finish.  There are rubbed areas which is normal for an original finish. It is a very heavy sofa and beautiful sofa.  It would be perfect for a tea room, sunroom, sunny enclosed porch or a formal living room. This is a beautiful Antique Victorian Large Solid Oak Dresser with Beveled Mirror.  It features a large beveled mirror which swivels out and in and has beautiful wood scroll work at the top of the frame. The top drawer lock is in working condition with a key.  The measurements are 42” length x 73” height x 20” width.  It has 3 drawers all of which has solid brass pulls which have been polished.  I believe it has its original finish.  There is a small darker circular spot on top of the dresser in the left corner.  You can barely see it in the picture. This is a beautiful Vintage Turned Spindled Hat Rack with Turned Spindled Legs. It is of solid wood and is stained dark. We believe it to be mahogany but it could be cherry. We took out one of the leg spindles and the unfinished carved wood fitting end appeared to have a reddish cast to it.  The measurements are 65 3/4” tall and the base is 15” by 16".  It appears that the shaft may be of two pieces of wood, but they do not come apart.  There is normal wear usage on the finish around the feet.  You don't see many of this old hat racks around.  Truly unique and pretty.  This item is pick up only.  If buyer requires shipping, please call or email for shipping options.

$424.95 Vintage Solid Mahogany Signed/Tagged Karpen Pedestal Desk - Item #489

This is a beautiful Vintage Solid Mahogany Signed/Tagged Karpen Pedestal Desk.  The Karpen Tag is located in the center drawer. This desk that was probably produced in the Chicago Factory between 1939 and 1951.  It has 8 dovetailed drawers with one of the drawers being for files. There are solid brass pulls on the drawers which are left in their original vintage patina.   It comes with a ¼” thick glass top that was custom made for the desk. It measures 46” length, 24” width, and 29” height.  The original finish is  rubbed or crackled in places as is normal for an old original finish. On the places that are rubbed you can see the color of the mahogany wood.  Please click on the picture to see addition pictures of the desk. It is a very solid piece of furniture. This is a very beautiful Antique Victorian Solid Oak Singer Sewing Machine Cabinet.  The cabinet has been reconfigured for a regular sit-on-top sewing machine at a more normal level.  There are 4 regular drawers on the sides and a pull out drawer in the middle.  The old machine and hardware was taken out as well as the top the sewing machine sat in.  Where the screws for the sewing machine top was taken out, there is a lighter colored wood filler in the spot.  This can be seen in the pictures.  It still has its original finish that has darkened in some spots through age. We did clean up the original finish and added some beeswax to it.  The iron Singer base has a thin layer of rust preventative clear enamel on it to protect it and make it shine. Would be a lovely addition to a sewing room, craft room, bedroom or office.
