We at Victorian Gardens Antiques frequent quite a few estate sales and auctions. During those sales and auctions, we always happen upon the most beautiful Victorian figurines. All of the figurines are vintage and some are antiques. We have now started buying these lovely figurines and will have them for sale in The Victorian Figurine Shop. We only buy what we ourselves love. Some we are still trying to identify the marker by the marks. We will list them as we identify them. These figurines are very detailed in their fancy finery. They are truly lovely to have around. We feature both porcelain and bisque figurines. Enjoy the browsing.
$49.95 Vintage Pair of Victorian Bisque Figurines - Period Couple w/Birdcages and a Dove On Each of Their Arms - Item #576
This is a Pair of Gorgeous Finely Detailed Bisque Figurines of a Period Couple with Birdcages and a Dove On Each of Their Arms. The picture does not do these two bisque beauties justice. They each are carrying a bird cage and a little dove is on each one of their arms. The colors are wonderful. The detail in the face is wonderful. You can click on the picture to enlarge it. If you would like additional pictures, please contact us. Each figurine measures approximately 8" tall by 3 1/2" wide. There is a "W" mark on the base as can be seen in the picture. There is a stamped green mark on the bottom of "7773". We could not find the maker of these wonderful figurines. They have the appearance of being either French or German in origin but we can not be for sure since we could not identify the mark. They are in excellent condition. There is very faint rubbing of the paint which is typical for the age. We did not attempt to clean them, though they probably could use some cleaning. Please choose a shipping method that includes insurance. Outstanding pair of figures to grace a Victorian home.
SOLD $19.95 Vintage Wales Parisian Couple Figurine Marked - Item #422
This is a lovely Vintage Parisian Couple Figurine made by Wales in Japan. They still have the original Wales label. The couple is dressed in Napoleonic Era Clothing. The detail on this piece is wonderful. The ruffle work on both his and her clothes is trimmed in gold. The lady is missing part of her index finger, which you would have to look hard to see it. We did see that on the gentleman's shoes at the toes, the gold has rubbed off. Otherwise in great condition. This was probably made around 1940s when there was a lot of reproductions of Victorian figurines being done. This piece would look great on a fireplace mantel or bookshelf.
