THE VICTORIAN BUTTON SHOP
In the Victorian Button Shop, you will find vintage and antique buttons, including genuine mother of pearl buttons. Some of these antique buttons had been used as cuff links. We have acquired a large assortment of mother of pearl or MOB buttons from an estate where the lady collected MOB buttons. There is an assortment of different types of shanks which we will list to the best of our ability. We have tried to show the shank in each picture. Many of our MOP buttons are in hard to find matched set. We matched sets by the MOP button size and shank type. We have gently hand soaked the MOP buttons and polished the shanks. Since most buttons are light weight, all buttons will be shipped using USPS First Class Mail at a flat rate of $2.00 per item. This is a gorgeous matched set of 2 Antique Design Under Glass DUG Buttons with a floral motif with lines under blue glass. The floral motif is very feminine and dainty. We have never seen any quite like them. These are from an estate of a lady who collected antique buttons. The buttons measure 1/2" square and are glass on a gold colored designed base with a metal shank and metal colored underside. We could not find any maker's mark on these buttons. They are in excellent condition for there age. There is some crazing to the glass. They appear to have been used originally as cuff links they are attached by a small chain. This chain can be detached if desired.

This is a matched set of 4 Vintage or Antique Champagne Gold Colored Pearl Buttons on a brass shank. They measure 7/16" in diameter and are 1/4" tall not including the shank. It appears that they were worn as cuff links since both sets had been either tried together with wire or string. They appear to be early buttons. They are in excellent condition. The buttons are in good condition for their age, with one button showing a dimple or depression. The copper shank on these buttons appear to be the under-laying metal and a finish had been applied but has rubbed off in places which may have been brass. The shank is copper and it appears to be the under-laying metal and a finish had been applied but has rubbed off in places which may have been silver or gold colored.
