The Victorian Era was a romantic time period when genteel ladies spent time with each other having afternoon tea parties and working on their fine needlework.
A brief history of this era ... the Victorian Era started in June 1837 with the reign of Queen Victoria in England and ended with her death in January 1901. During this time, the United States experienced the Civil War which dated from April 21, 1861 to April 9, 1865. After the Victorian Era, the Edwardian Era started and ended in 1910. The Golden Age started in the 1920s.
Please see our unique shops to discover treasures from these special eras. We also have The Victorian Garden, which sells flower seeds and small plants for a truly lovely Victorian garden.
Victorian Garden Antiques believes each and every vintage item and antique is unique ... a treasure. For antique lovers, there is a mystery to an antique. The mystery lies in the unknown history. Who owned it and what was she/he like and from where did the antique originate? The treasure is to be cherished and valued as a friendship.
